2024-25 Information
Compete against other clubs from across Canada
Striving for performance and being the best you can be at your sport as an individual and team. Local games are used for athlete and team development. Travel 3-5x/season to play other teams from across Canada (travelling to competitions is dependent if we have enough athletes to field a team).
These athletes are expected to show up to all the practices, games, and events, work hard, be responsible, be good teammates and have a growth mindset.*
Communicate with coaches when they cannot attend a practice or an event.
*Growth Mindset - Individuals who believe their talents can be developed through hard work, good strategies & habits, and input from others.
16U: born in 2009-2010

Practices start on September 9, 2024.
Fall: September 9, 2024 to December 20, 2024

We have scheduled a special workshop with Dare to Care - Tackle Bullying in Sport
Thursday, September 19 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Sport Manitoba [145 Pacific Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3B 2Z6] in Conference Room A (basement).
All competitions are an additional cost and are not included in the program fee unless otherwise stated.
All athletes will play in the MB Winter League and MB Provincials. These are excellent events to gain playing experience and the cost of playing in these events is covered by the club with support by Manitoba Water Polo and Sport Manitoba.
The following events may have a selection process as we anticipate more athletes than spots on the teams travelling. Attending these competitions is determined by the number of and level of play of our athletes. Competitions that are scheduled may be changed or cancelled at Vortex Water Polo's discretion.
Depending on registration, we are looking at entering the National Championship League.
