2025-26 Information

14U GIRLS PROGRAM 

Develop Your Fitness & Strength While Gaining Competitive Opportunities Locally and Beyond

New to water polo? Athletes with a strong swimming background are encouraged to join!

AGE

Athletes born in 2012-2013

TRAINING

3x/week for 2 Hours/practice.

All practices are at Pan Am Pool [25 Poseidon Bay, Winnipeg, MB].

Practices may occasionally change (time and location) or be cancelled throughout the season due to events (such as swim meets), holidays, or when coaches are away with other teams. When possible, we will always make an effort to organize other training opportunities when regular practices are cancelled. 

The 14U Program runs from mid-September to the end of May.

COMPETITIONS

All competitions are an additional cost, unless stated otherwise and are not included in the program fee.

Local Events

All athletes will play in the MB Winter League and MB Provincials. These are excellent events to gain playing experience and are supported by the club, Manitoba Water Polo and Sport Manitoba. 

Out-of-Province Competitions

The following events may have a selection process as we anticipate more athletes than spots on the teams travelling. Attending these competitions is determined by the number of and level of play of our athletes. Competitions that are scheduled may be changed or cancelled at Vortex Water Polo's discretion. 

Our "big" event is to attend the Alberta Open in March in Calgary, AB. We are looking for another competition to round out the season near the end of May.

Once the season starts up we will have a better idea of the competition calendar for this group.
