2023-24 Information
Stay active, build fitness and play games
This group trains 2x/week and is focused on skill development, staying active, and playing games.
There is an opportunity to participate in local competitions, which we encourage and possibly one trip to an out-of-province competition per season.
All athletes must be able to swim unassisted in deep water.
Athletes born in 2006-2009 (usually equates to kids in Grades 9 to 12).
Athletes born in 2009 are also eligible for the 15U Girls program.
2x/week for 1.5-2.0 Hours/practice (on most weeks, please see next section)
Practices are held at Pan Am Pool [25 Poseidon Bay, Winnipeg, MB].
Practices may occasionally change (time and location) or be cancelled throughout the season due to events (such as swim meets), holidays, or when coaches are away with other teams. When possible, we will always make an effort to organize other training opportunities when regular practices are cancelled.
The High School Rec Program runs from September 2023 to May 2024
1st practice: Wednesday, September 13, 2023
Last practice of the Fall: Wednesday, December 20, 2023
1st practice in the new year: Wednesday, January 10, 2024
No practices on holidays (e.g. National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Thanksgiving ...)

All athletes will play in the MB Winter League and MB Provincials. These are excellent events to gain playing experience and the cost of playing in these events is covered by the club with support by Manitoba Water Polo and Sport Manitoba.
Full Season: 2x/week $1095
Spring and Summer Session: TBC
Association Membership: $75 for a Water Polo Canada/Manitoba Water Polo Association annual Provincial Membership (membership is valid from Sep 2023-Aug 2024).
Volunteer Bond: $150 (included in the above program fee which you can earn back from volunteering)
